SlideCut works differently from conventional scissors. Ordinary scissors cut only as the blades close. Here the upper blade also moves along its length: it slides forward as the scissors open and back as they close, guided on micro ball bearings. The result is a combined pulling and cutting motion.

This gives a sharp, precise cut without pressing down, including on dry hair.

The scissors are made of SG2 powder (sintered) steel with a hardness of 61-62 HRC right through to the core.
